         It was a surprise to many as the news of the Supreme Court okaying the death sentence by hanging giving to the convicted General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Rev. King was heard.

On Friday afternoon, a seven-man panel of Justices ‎of the supreme court In a unanimous judgment led by Justice Walter Onnoghen, upheld the earlier judgement of death by hanging sentence that was earlier handed to Rev. Ezeugo by the Lagos State High Court.
